Today in review:

-Another busy day at the office. Who knew that the reason a home appraisal application wouldn't open was due to printer drivers to a printer employees would map to? We know now, dadgummet.
-I made it to the gym again. This felt quite good.
-Guitar class was great. I learned some blues chords and some other goodness. Now to just practice it.
-My Tivo is working great, despite the fact that my cat thinks one of the compotents that is attached to my dish is a toy.
-I bought the OED on CD-rom. It arrives in a few days.
-My cat is nutz! No, not nuts. Nutz. I contend that the use of the "z" conveys an intensity greater than that implied by merely "nuts". Nutz is still lower on the scale than "batshit crazy", however.

I am now home, finished with chasing my cat around the house and finishing some laundry, and watching my TiVo-tized Buffy show.

Does your cat just randomly spaz out and whine for an hour? The Girl's cats do that, only at different times each night. One will be serene yet watchful in hover-kitty mode (you know, when they have their limbs all tucked under them and look like furry hoverboats) while the other one races back and forth across the apartment, claws digging into the carpet and couch. Then it'll calm down and the other one will freak out for a while. Then, around 3am, one of them will just sit at the front door and whine for an hour for no apparent reason.

Her cats are nutz.

I'm thinkin' that the one whining at the front door wants to leave on an adventure!

But Sascha is an excitable boy (a cat after Warren Zevon's heart!). Were he in the presence of "The Girl's" felines, he would be chasing them down, were they to run about. He's a full contact kitty.

But when he's calm, he likes to tuck his back paws under him, but cross his front paws over the other. That's assuming he's not stretched out on my lap taking a cuddle-nap.
