Today was a reasonably good day. I got to sleep in, which is always a plus. But, since I'm getting older, sleeping in means getting up at 9. That is rather unfortunate. However, I get a bit more done during the sunlight hours than in the past.

After rolling out of bed, playing with the kitten and killing time online, I worked out, showered, then headed to work.

After hearing from scarcrest and kellinator mentioned the Dixie Chicks prospective boycott by myopic country music fans, I promptly bought their cds while I was out getting lunch. I had planned on buying their music, but that just sealed the deal.

I also bought a David Gray cd.

I kicked a few butts and took a few names at work, then met up with Ms. Tao at the Naked Lounge. We then mused on our respective weeks, and chuckled over some political issues.

I'd probably have to wear a loincloth if I was at the Naked Lounge... and angel wings. And a horned helmet. I wouldn't be naked, though. So they'd probably kick me out, and I'd have to sit on the sidewalk outside, where I would intermittently play the flute and whine melodically for passersby.

And they'd desultorily stuff a few Euros in my loincloth band, whenever they felt like it. And then I'd use the money to buy the Naked Lounge and make it into the Loincloth Club (Pty Ltd). And then I would put on my loincloth, liberate the state of Washington, and abolish their barbaric sales tax.
