Okay, so I thought I would jot down what I enjoyed about Xmen 2.

First of all, I loved Nightcrawler. There's something about sensitive men with german accents that I just love. I just cannot figure that out. But Alan Cummings was simply a treat to behold.

[livejournal.com profile] reannon was right, the scene with Iceman's mother asking him, "So, have you tried not being a Mutant?" was quite priceless.

Unfortunately, I don't think Wolverine got to find out enough about his past for my satisfaction. Then again, I don't think Stryker was going to be honest with him. Stryker was a fantastic villain. What he did to his son was heartbreaking. That Professor Xavier could be so easily overcome was rather disappointing, I think.

Jean Gray really ramped up on her power in this movie, and it was a shame to see her die just as she's really getting fun to watch. She can hold back running water, and levitate a plane. Hot damn. Was it just my imagination, or on the closing scene of the lake, was there some winged creature under the water?

As for the complex relationship between Iceman and Rogue, surely some special condoms and what not could be develeped so that these two can have some avenue to express their attraction to each other. C'mon.

The scene of Cyclops and Wolverine mourning Jean's death was very well done. I was impressed with the lovely and sideburned Hugh Jackman.

Who was that buff man who could turn his body to steel? He was a visual treat.

The previews I saw last night do make me look forward to the Incredible Hulk and The League of Extraordinary Gentlement. I am comforted by the fact that Ang Lee is directing the Hulk.
