Jun. 7th, 2002 08:15 pmToday, I'm feeling rather zombie-like. I'll be getting some r&r shortly.
Work was a little slow, but I made some headway on a database I'm building and I finished preparations for my business trip to Texas on Sunday.
I turned down an invite to go to Ernesto's and see Secrets of the Yada Yada Sisterhood, or whatever it's called. Was the alternate title, "come watch Sandra Bullock be cute"?
I went to the gym instead and sweated for an hour.
I need to finish cleaning the house, as I have company for dinner tomorrow night. But golly. A girl could sleep!
Side note: Whilst journal hopping, I came upon someone's effort at introspection. Suddenly a vision of a childhood toy appeared in my brain. It was ball filled with a small amount of marbles that had a long handle on it. You would push the handle, and the ball would roll, causing all the marbles to bounce around. It was vibrant, yet annoying, and had little practical application.
I realized that such a preschool treat was a metaphor for said person's brain.
Granted, I'm not the Diva O' Wisdom, myself. But damn.
