Good morning livejournalers!
It's a lovely morning. The weather is perfect; not too hot, not too cold. Goldilocks would approve. The sun is bashfully trickling through my blinds. I'm laying in my bed, on my new laptop. Sascha the wonderkitten is playing by my side.
Yes, we were awakened from are cuddle-icious morning snooze by a telemarketer from the Sacramento Bee, but it turned out to be a serendipitous occurrence. I needed to get a hold of them anyway to suspend my paper service for the next two weeks.
Twenty four hours must pass, and I shall be at the airport, awaiting my flight to Dallas, where in turn I will transfer to hopefully large, comfortable plane for a 9 hour flight across the Atlantic Puddle.
I will miss Sascha, my ardent little predator. He loves to hunt. Alas, his only prey are my feet under the covers, and the assorted cat toys I animate for his pleasure. (We can add that last phrase to the list of phrases that sound dirty, but aren't.)
List of things to do today:
- Mow the lawn
- Pack
- Find geocaching sites in Europe
- Spend time with Mom
- Bring Sascha to Suzanne's house.
- Bring card table and four chairs to Suzanne's house.
- Prepare the house for its two week siesta.
- Run around the house, squealing like an excited pig.
