Feb. 5th, 2003 07:06 pmWork wasn't too bad. A goodly supply of meetings and telecom work. Furthermore, I had to clarify that when a customer gives us an order, we do it; we no longer do the thinking for them, unless they ask us to.
Sad but true. When the Information Technology group starts paying for all it's services, we don't give you all our thoughts for free.
I'm rather bummed that Tivo discontinued their 40hour series 2. Now I either have to buy their 60 hour or their 80 hour. Ebay might save me 50 bucks, but I'll probably make that up in shipping. Quite the conundrum.
The good news is, I an buy a wireless phone jack for the phone line component of the TiVo. I don't have a phone jack near where my television is, without having to yank up the carpet and run a line underneath. This is less than desirable to me.
A few articles have caught my attention in the past few days. This one is on the current all time slump in the job market. This is the argument for why I'm staying in a job that doesn't challenge me. For yes, I am a whore for monetary stability.
The other day, while stomping around Slashdot, I came across this entry. Here lies the reason to leave. Certainly not without some thought, of course.
