Home at last.

Today was wierd. It wasn't a bad sort of wierd. It was highly busy. It was as if there was a full moon at the job. Fortunately, I deftly navigated through the obstacles and managed to spend my lunchbreak at the gym.

Spent the evening at a buddy's house. Scrabble was played. Who has two thumbs and kicked everyone's ass? I do!

Now I'm tuckered.

Perhaps the conflict with Iraq isn't just about oil. But I doubt it's about human rights. We're not really diligent about really helping out other countries, per se. We just like to send our military out to play once in a while.

Arguably, war is a great distraction to our woes at home.

Work today was fairly productive, though my mind has been distracted by war issues and a story plotline that's been bubbling in my brain the past three days. During the work day, I was phoned by friends, family and my mortgage company. Friends and family are fine. (That's kind of a cool, alliterative sentence, by the way. the first letter of each word was either an F or an A. The patter of F A F A F means nothing intelligible in our language, but it is symmetrical.)

Woops! I digressed. Back to my tale of the mundane and mild. My mortgage company called. I close on my refinance on February 24th. I may even be able to lock into a lower rate on Monday morning. Furthermore, I'm 86-ing the PMI! This pleases me.

After work, I hit the gym for a good character building sweat session. A sweassion, if you will.

Now my cat is going nuts. First, I must gut my cat and string my racquet. Then I'll resume writing.
