Eating Morning Crow
Feb. 10th, 2004 09:21 amWhen outages occur at my company, there's a meeting the following morning, at 7:15am CST. That's 5:15am my time. The person involved in the outage has to speak to the problem, the solution, and lessons learned. Since I was the gimp, yesterday, I had to get up and try to speak cogently to this issue.
I survived it. I was sitting up on pillows in my bed, with the news muted, and a cat cuddling on my lap. I had my headset on my cordless phone. When the time came, I discussed the outage, nobody had questions, and I was free!
I wish more of my meetings were that cuddly.
But now I can put that mistake behind me and move on. My id card still works to get into the building.
Life is still wonderful, but keep the coffee coming.
