Curse that technology!
Feb. 19th, 2004 11:44 amI just got two text messages on my cell phone that told me to check my sprint pcs email. But there was no mail. And I haven't had email on the cell for over 12 hours. How irksome! Email tease.
I played poker last night at a friend of a friend's house. It was a $20 buy in. I played Texas Hold 'em all night and lost $5. This host was someone I had never met before, but hopefully he'll hold another one on a non-school night. :-)
I got up early today and made it to work before 7:30am. I've done a lot of work today, including swapping out a motherboard; something I haven't done in...forever. The good news: the computer still works!
I'm playing phone tag with a landscape designer that my friend referred to me. It is time to get my backyard done. Well, it's past time. It's long overdue. But since I'm a slacker extraordinaire, dedicated to a number of other shiny objects that do not involve design and yard trenching, I'm going to hire a someone to do that stuff for me. So here will be my demands:
-No grass/lawn
-area for bbq/patio.
-option for hot tub outside of the master bath. I'm thinking I'd go with the softtub concept, since I don't like all those pre-formed tubs, but that's up for grabs.
-the sun in my living room window will not be blocked!
-fruit trees: a lemon lime tree, at least.
-kitchen garden/raised area for herbs, etc.
-a pleasant, shaded seating area.
Anyway, back to the trenches.
