Work went awfully fast. This may have something to do with the fact that I was very busy. Drum lessons went well.

I have much floating in my noggin, but little that is organized. Too many irons have snuffed out the fire. Tonight will be one that is somewhat practically oriented. The kitchen needs tending to, as does other parts of the house. After that, perhaps more drum practice, or some reading.

I'm mining iTunes for some more Sarah Mclachlan songs, as well as a Best of Nina Simone album. More music, more music. Albums for ten bucks even is a nice little deal. Yes indeedy.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present a meme that unequivocably demonstrates that I've been reasonably vapid for the third year running...

Make a note of the timestamp of this journal post kids, for I arrived home from work 20 minutes ago. I put in an 18 hour day, all told.

Thursday's Status

With approximately 3.5 hours of sleep under my belt, I sneered past traffic and sloped into work this morning at 7:30am

Yes, I'll be working late again, and I'll be back into work tomorrow evening.

I feel okay, but add to the fact that I'm opening up my home for a mid-rollout party on Saturday, I have my work cut out for me!

The good news is....I made it home from work before midnight! (about 15 mins ago).

The bad news is...I've been driving for about 100 miles with an orange-glowing check engine light on my dashboard. I take sta-puft in to the mechanic tomorrow.

Tonight, when I came home, the sky was beautifully clear. I looked up and was greeted by Orion. It reminds me that I should get back into astronomy.

TiVo is a wonderful thing. I am watching last night's West Wing and contemplating practicing guitar before I head to bed. Furthermore, in my request for TiVo to show me anything with Jodi Foster, a recording of Gunsmoke showed up. It was from 1969. This should be cute.

The perfect gift for your men-friends...

The Grip Wrench and a bottle of vaseline.

Some may require the mini-grip wrench...

For the cooking club, I am in charge of providing music that aligns with the cooking theme. We'll be doing Irish next time. I just found an album of Irish Drinking songs....That should be fun. :-)

This album contains such hits as:
"The Pub with No Beer"
"Beer, Beer, Beer"
"Jug of this"
"Drink it up, Men"
"Maloney wants a drink"
"The Jug of Punch"
"All for me Grog"
"The Moonshiner"
"Mountain Dew"
"Water is alright in Tay"
"Whiskey, You're the Divil"
"The Juice of the Barley"
"The Parting Glass"

Tee hee. I wonder if there are albums called, "Ethiopian Drinking Songs", or "Mormon Drinking Songs". Wow, how tasteless can I get with this? Well, lessee...how about "Jewish Shower Songs"? Or "French Fighting Songs"...
