Halliburton

According to this article in Salon.com, the Pentagon is launching a criminal investigation on Halliburton regarding its practices with purchasing. An ex employee who did requisitions for Halliburton over there has come forward and testified to the Government about Halliburton's cost-plus contracting. I wonder why our Government agreed to such a contract that would encourage Halliburton not to seek the best bids for products?

You know, after a few months of working out at the gym, I do in fact feel healthier and stronger. Despite that, my spray painting spree yesterday has enabled me to discover the muscles in my body that have heretofore been ignored:

-My left and right index fingers and both forearms are sore. In most tasks, that's okay. However I lack some basic motor control. Writing feels surreal, and looks it, too! Typing, however, is just fine.
-My rear inner thighs. Apparently, I was doing some interesting squats while spraying.

This day is going by fast. Back to work for me.

So instead of browsing loose leaf teas and gadgets, I went to Petco to get kibble for my little predators.

Not quite a valid substitution. But the Tea Cozy is open until 6pm this Friday...maybe I'll go back there, then.

On my drive home, I found myself taken with a few songs. First is from my most recent musical discovery, Marillion. I really don't know how I've missed them for all these years. Damn. But one of the songs I really dig is "Beautiful":
