Church and State issues

Recently, the CA Supreme court affirmed lower court decisions compelling charities with religious connections to pay for prescription birth control. Some think this is a terrible invasion on the church. However, a review of the case facts and the history of law discussed to reach the decision seems rather well thought out, assuming you agree with the California State Law in the first place.

My legs are still sore from Sunday's unwitting torture via spraypainting. I'm less sore than yesterday, but sheesh!

Once I start jogging, though, I don't feel any discomfort. Here's to another good stretching in the gym, shortly.

Work was rather busy, but I emerged triumphant.

It looks like Edwards is going to drop out of the race on Wednesday. Well, that's to be expected.

The rats that travel between our floors at work are active, again. Every so often, I hear a bit of scurrying above me. 'Tis the Ratting Hour. I'm not sure why they can't trap this/these pests. But their feetie-falls sound bigger than before.

So, how about that Shiite Muslim bombing today? I haven't heard whether or not the Iraqi council will delay the signing of the constitution yet. I'm having a hard time imaging how these folks are going to cooperate when our troops are supposed to leave. But then again, our government may decide not to leave because it is so unstable.

Good evening, Compatriots!

The gym was most fruitful. I stretched, I jogged, I hefted metal objects. On my way home I stopped at Best Buy to appropriate some DVD+Rs on sale for half price, as well as the Ben Stiller Show DVD. I also stopped by Cost Plus World Market and found the teapot I desired (enough for two cups of tea and with the tea strainer/steeper inside), and a bag of Peppermint Ginseng loose leaf tea.

I came home, did the requisite domestic chores, caught Gilmore Girls (loved it as always), and then drew a bubble bath. While waiting for the tub to fill, I made some of my new found tea. I sat in the tub, read a book on the history of the Bush family, and sipped my tea. While listening to some relaxing music.

The hot bath had a practical purpose, to complete the soothing of my aching muscles in my legs. Right now I feel quite warm and relaxed all over. We'll see what happens in the morning.

Now watching the second season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, loaned to me by a gracious Buffy Season Owner!
