I love reading the National Review on Saturday mornings. It smells like....well, it smells.

Jonah Goldberg is bringing to light the fact that Air America Radio was taken off the air due to a bounced check.

What Jonah failed to mention is that Air America Radio and MultiCultural Radio Broadcasting are under some disputes over airtime purchases. Multicultural has apparently sold some of the airtime that was promised to Air America Radio. Sounds like double dipping to me. There is some additional information on it here and here.

Way to go with balanced reporting, Jonah. For one so dedicted to the noble pursuit of fairplay and truth, you omit important information about the nature of the dispute.

And it's fun to see a chap like Goldberg criticize Franken on his lack of creativity. He's a comedian and he's a political commentator. His job is not to come up with original political thought it's to discuss the ideas already out there and lampoon them. As for original thoughts, where are Goldberg's? Even his lack of fair reporting in his commentary is not original.

If "liberal media" is to be criticized because they might not be reporting enough biased falshoods and misrepresentations, then yes, I guess "conservative talk radio" needs to fill that niche market.

Really, Goldberg. If you're going to be criticizing rubber, don't be glue.

One of my cats is feeling under the weather today. I've found two instances of cat vomit in the house today, but I've not caught either of them in the act.

And, thanks to Spinal Tap, we know that we cannot dust for vomit.

I wonder how I can train my cats to vomit only on the linoleum?

Him: When I got my new prescription today the pharmacist told me "You cannot eat grapefruit with this!" "Not going to be a problem," I said.
Him: See, that's what I need, more medication like that.
Me: spared from the grapefruit menace
Him: Yes, no more grapefruit, darn.
Me: I'm waiting for the medication that says, "You must take with whipped cream!"
Him: "Take only after eating ice cream."
Me: Yeah. That's the stuff.

Whole Foods just loved me today, as I spent a pretty little penny aquiring whole foods with whole prices. But I love the store, so it's all good.

Trader Joes...please be constructed soon! I yearn for thee!

I also acquired some Peet's Coffee beans. For buying coffee or tea, you get a complimentary cup of coffee or tea. I took the cup of coffee. Talk about perky! I think my heart is going to explode!

*pop*

I also hit Amazon.com. Since iTunes is not providing any "love" with regard to the music I wished to purchase, I went to the big bad jungle goddess.com and purchased my "needs":

--The Soundtracks for both Kill Bill 1 and Kill Bill 2
--A used copy of the Hindu Love Gods. The five dollar one was sold by the time I made my purr-chase, so, I went for the Like New! one for quite a bit more. C'est la Vie. If I'm going to buy a CD outright, I want the cover art. I'm funky like dat.

I love iTunes. I just wish they would get better about Soundtracks.

The night before 9/11, FBI agent John O'Neill knew that we were due for another attack by the Al Qaeda. He knew they wanted to finish the job with the World Trade Center. He had been tracking the Al Qaeda activities since the first WTC attack. The leadership of the FBI was unimpressed, however, and ultimately O'Neill was pushed out of the FBI.

He left to become the head of security at the World Trade Center. He died on 9/11.

What is interesting is that this Frontline episode I am view was original aired in 2002.

Bush and Co. are saying that it's very difficult to be correct 100% of the time about defending attacks against us. However, they failed to acknowledge and respond to 100%of the multitude of clues that the Al Qaeda were after us. This was a flagrant oversight.

On the one hand, I don't think we should be attempting to place blame on various government departments for 9/11. On the other hand, I find it interesting, as Clarke did, that the Bush administration ignored the threat, in light of the fact that they have put more energy in Iraq than on the Al Qaeda. We've got 125,000 troops in Iraq, and significantly less in Afghanistan. We caught a man who was not responsible for 9/11, but the leader behind 9/11 and the original WTC bombing still runs free. Don't even try to argue that Bush's activities support the War on Terror. It's just sad. We started a conflict in Iraq that will take years to work out. We're going into debt for it. We're creating new and angrier enemies. We still haven't eliminated the significant enemies.

"Why it is always virgin women who have to do the sacrificing?"
"For purity, I suppose?"
"This has nothing to do with purity, this is all about dominance, buddy. You can bet that if someone ordered a male body part for religious sacrifice, the world would be atheists *snap* like that."
