I love reading the National Review on Saturday mornings. It smells like....well, it smells.

Jonah Goldberg is bringing to light the fact that Air America Radio was taken off the air due to a bounced check.

What Jonah failed to mention is that Air America Radio and MultiCultural Radio Broadcasting are under some disputes over airtime purchases. Multicultural has apparently sold some of the airtime that was promised to Air America Radio. Sounds like double dipping to me. There is some additional information on it here and here.

Way to go with balanced reporting, Jonah. For one so dedicted to the noble pursuit of fairplay and truth, you omit important information about the nature of the dispute.

And it's fun to see a chap like Goldberg criticize Franken on his lack of creativity. He's a comedian and he's a political commentator. His job is not to come up with original political thought it's to discuss the ideas already out there and lampoon them. As for original thoughts, where are Goldberg's? Even his lack of fair reporting in his commentary is not original.

If "liberal media" is to be criticized because they might not be reporting enough biased falshoods and misrepresentations, then yes, I guess "conservative talk radio" needs to fill that niche market.

Really, Goldberg. If you're going to be criticizing rubber, don't be glue.

What I heard was that Air America stopped payment on a check because the station manager was ripping them off, and the station pulled them for a "bounced check." I have no links to back this up, however. I can report that a judge forced the Chicago station to reinstate them, citing bad faith. :)

Yes, the news articles on the subject seem to suggest your similar findings. This is why I just love the fact that this Goldboob guy whining and misrepresenting the information. Spineless little freaks.
