Salon.com has an excerpt of Joe Wilson's latest book. I tell you, there should be a lot of congressional inquiries on our current President. We'll impeach a guy who got a blow job from an intern, but for a President responsible for lying to us about reasons for War, for our huge deficit and a botched "war on terror", for letting national security matters get leaked to a neo-con mag, for manipulating medicare data, we drag our feet. And I'm sure there's more. Zoinks. Just...zoinks.

Joe Wilson grew up in a staunch Republican family. Yet another conservative that is coming forth with criticisms of the current administration. This interview (excerpted below) was from Salon.com

What's the difference in the GOP from when you were growing up?

If you're fiscally responsible, this is not your party. If you believe in a moderate foreign policy characterized by alliances, free trade and the ability to operate in an international environment, this is not your party. If you believe in limited federal government, this is not your party. If you believe that the government should stay out of your bedroom, this is very definitely not your party. In fact, I would argue that unless you believe in the American imperium, imposed on the world by force, or unless you believe in the literal interpretation of the Book of Revelations, this is not your party.

Another interesting tidbit that I was not aware of was that George H.W. Bush and Don Rumsfeld were rivals.

Greetings all! I'm not on City of Heroes yet. I'll buy the game after I successfully pass the Server+ test I have to take. A friend of mine is knee deep into it, however, and he came upon the Ambiguously Gay Duo. I laughed heartily, so I had to share:

Last night, I consulted with the might iTunes Oracle and acquired a Dire Straits album entitled On Every Street. For some reason, I was reminded of the song "My Parties". I love the tune. I always loved the satire involved in Dire Straits' songs. This song has a comfy, relaxed feel. Knopfler's voice has that smarmy yet sexy tone. He makes the phrase, "the secret's in the cheese" sound sexy. ;-)

So here are the lyrics:
