Today was busy. I feel rather sleepy.

Today's noteworthy observations:
-work work work
-since we moved my department up to the 6th floor, I am trying to take the stairs whenever I go on trouble calls. I ventured the full 6 flights four times today.
-after work I went to the gym for 30 minutes o' cardio.
-secret squirrel code phrase: train wreck!
-I took Baby Doc out to dinner to celebrate her birthday, which was last week.
-[livejournal.com profile] taogrl: another one of our plat chefs may be on the run to New York this summer.
-BabyDoc got a free cruise. Yes, she got sucked into a time share. Yes, she bought the time share. But, I'm going on the 4 day cruise with her. We're thinking sometime in early October. I need to get my Love Boat songs collected.
-I came home in time to watch Law and Order: Trial by Spinoff Jury.
-I see on the news that recruitment numbers for the military are dwindling. Helloooo draft. Or Goodbye U.S. Imperialistic tendencies.
-I practiced the drums. My lessons, after a month hiatus, resume on Saturday.

My cats have been pinning me in bed by snuggling up to me on both sides of the covers the past two mornings.

Once again: who wants to get up when you have two cuddly kitties laying next to you?

I finally summoned up the strength to shoo one off so I could get out of the bed.

Morning all!

How are you doing?

You know, after our behavior in the international arena during the past three years, it's no surprise that we're losing our credibility when it comes to being defenders of human rights. Read the article here.

You know you're doing something wrong when other nations who suck at human rights now have evidence of our human rights infringement.

Golly. Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a hobby whore. So many interesting things to do and be involved in, so little time.

Here's what I have going on:
-Must do my php midterm tonight
-drum practice
-must do some record keeping cleanup of Firefly Games records. I vant zat monkee off my back.
-I will play tour guide for a coworker visiting from Colorado on Saturday.
-I was going to attend an Imax screening, but I think I'll bow out of it.
-clean up my house, especially my kitchen

And then there's a list of things I want to do:
-Read
-Write
-Work on my websites
-do some video editing on some movies I took recently
-make some cookies to send to my coworkers who hosted me in Texas.

But first, 8 more hours of employment bliss.

Oh, and I think I've managed to preserve every episode of Battlestar Gallactica. If someone wants to catch up, and not wait for re-runs, let me know. I can play with my tivo to go dvd burning software. :-)

May all your days be going splendidly!

The setup:
We are giving away our old ibm p70 crt monitors. They are OLD. They are beige. They are ugly. But hey, they are also free, so 400 people signed up to receive one. Here's a correspondence between me and an interested, yet delusional customer:

With great glee, I can say I am home. With immense satisfaction I can say I had a busy and productive day. With some degree of annoyance, I am about to take my php class midterm.
