I went to bed last night around 2:15am.
Not a bad thing for a Friday night.
Except when you're on call.
I was serenaded to consciousness at 6:23am by a phone call from our command center. I needed to reboot a system in our office.
I floated into work on the wings of disgruntled angels of slumber.
So, I reboot, call the command center to confirm the system is operational, and drive home. As opposed to the luscious rain last night, it was a bright and cheerful morning.
By the time I get home, it is time for my planned hour to rise. So I bathe and prepare breakfast.
I'm making my own special batch of "F***, I got called into work" Pancakes. They are made with whole wheat flour, fat free cottage cheese, eggs, splenda, salt, vanilla.
Mmm...coffee.
