I'm having a fairly relaxing day at home today. I was awoken early by one of my loving little felines, who commenced to licking my nose with his dual-purpose tongue and exfoliator. I showered, and walked over to trader joes to appropriate some bagels and cream cheese and strawberries. I've been piddling around on the internet, and reading. I think it's becoming time for lunch, and then beginning some chores, such as cleaning the kitchen, etc.
I should spend some time organizing/cleaning my home, but I'm not in the mood. Instead of practical tasks, I've been messing around with iPodder and podcasting. I did find that someone has set up a test podcasting site for Songfight, which is nifty. If you feel lucky want to subscribe, go put this in your podcaster: http://sync.dillfrog.com/podcasts/songfight/current/.
So, top on my list will be the bare minimums:
-laundry
-taking out the trash
-litterbox maintenance
-kitchen cleaning
Then the rest of my list of desired activities:
-music practice
-reading
-hmmm. maybe a nap.

Parody Epiphany!
Jun. 5th, 2005 03:32 pmI've got it. When I am ready to launch my full-scale parody of Semi-homemade with Sandra Lee, one of the recipes shall be:
Hot Dog Hamburger! This will be a quick, tasty meal that your kids will love. Oh, and you're gonna love it, too. Or Else.
1 package of hot dogs
2 Tablespoons of flour
1 egg
1 Tablespoon of pumpkin spice (optional)
Your favorite burger toppings.
Ground up the hotdog. Mix in 1 egg , flour, and any seasonings you like. Fry like a hamburger. Don't grill it, it will probably disappear through the vents. Drink heavily and begin to dare your family members to eat this first. Don't forget your tablescape! With some simple, and inexpensive items, you can dazzle your friends and family by making your dining room look like the interior of your stomach. Just take some red tissue paper, gather into tufts, and tape onto your walls until the walls are entirely obscured by tissue paper. Then, take some of the leftover ground hotdogs and fling them on the wall. Voila! The crowd will go wild!
Note: this is the converse to the Hamburger Dogs recipe.
