Tuesday Morn
Aug. 30th, 2005 08:17 amWhile I was up last night kvetching about the picayune problem of my carpool lane stickers, a bunch of folks elsewhere have much bigger problems.
Much love and good thoughts go out to the people living through Katrina's visit. I hope you and your families continue to be safe, and that the recovery process goes smoothly.
Wow. 80% of New Orleans is under water. And how dreadful to hear of the deaths of 50 plus people in an apartment complex in Biloxi.
Meanwhile, as I sit and ponder these tragedies, and how more tragedies are certain to come to any one of us and our friends and family, my cats lie obliviously nearby. Maximus is meticulously grooming himself. Pinpointing certain spots that needed tending to. Sascha has his head buried in one of my shoes. One blind, orally fixated cat. Another with a shoe fetish. Vive la difference.
