Rambling on study reorganization )

In other news, I made Cook's Illustrated's Potsticker recipe. They were quite good. I need to perfect the amount of water required for steaming however...that or work on the temperature during steaming. I also became a little more proficient on my stuff 'n wrap dexterity. Their dipping sauce is tasty, too, though I didn't put in the sesame oil, since I forgot to buy some. Still, it was nummy. I froze some uncooked potstickers for another time.

After my Potsticker hijinx, I watched North Country. It was like Erin Brockovich with the accents from Fargo. Charlize was good, but I think Reese still deserved the Oscar she won for Best Actress. Reese was destined for an Oscar since Freeway.

I don't think I commented on Battlestar Galactica's season Finale. I loved it. Especially all the bad hair. We didn't see what happened to the bitter "They killed my baby!" Sharon, yet, But Hilo was still around. And yet Number 6 and New Sharon are now on New Caprica. I shall speculate some things I think will occur:

Well, I gotta go get ready for work, so enough of my yackin'.

Friends on the East Coast,

Richard Shindell, one of my favorite folk guitarists, is doing some concerts along the East Coast, including cities in North Carolina and Georgia (Atlanta, even!). I highly recommend him. Tickets are usually around $20. So if you're looking for an enjoyable evening of music, check out the dates below and see if he's in a town near you!

Okay, I went back to Ikea tonight and acquired over 500 pounds of shelving. I rolled my booty over to the Home Delivery section and it shall be delivered Friday morning. Sweet. I will take the morning off and wait for its arrival, and have an assembly party this weekend. Wooooo! Partay!

I'm so excited...Storage galore.

I think I bought one shelf extra, though. Though i'll find a place for it easily enough.

Here's a more eye-friendly listing of Shindell's concerts.

Am I encouraging you to go see him? You bet! Go see him play! He's a fantastic songwriter and guitarist.

I suspect during this tour, he'll be doing some covers of various artists. He did a very nice job of Gabriel's Mercy Street last time he came to town.

It is time to go to bed, soon. I'm a bit energetic and lazy all at once.

Tomorrow will feature work, some gym time, and finally whatever else I want to get up to. I'm really quite easily amused. I am looking forward to being able to squirrel away more of my material possessions. Via gifts over the years, I have a lot of cookbooks. Well, I just have a lot of books. I think the gaming, technology and cookbooks will go in the study, and the pleasure reading and miscellany will stay in the guest bedroom

I've got plenty o' home organization tasks in store. I have some new tab-top drapes I need to install, too.

Two more weeks 'til Portland.
