Monday morning (early) musings
May. 1st, 2006 01:35 amSo happy May 1st.
John Kenneth Galbraith died the other day.
Here's an interesting synopsis of some of his ideas that pissed off detractors the most.
The Wall Street Journal captured what some of the bloggers said about his passing here.
This commentary was especially hateful:
The folks over at the Mises blog held a rather dim view of him, as well.
As it is late, I can't write on this further, but I shall come back to this later.

I don't feel saddened by Galbraith's death, heis nothing now and should have been nothing from the beginning. Had itnot been for the undue influence of East Coast Liberals in ourgovernment throughout the fifties and sixties, he would have simplybeen a stranded economics professor at some university trying to get agrant to publish a theory that was horribly flawed.
