Here's an indication that someone has time to kill.

I had no idea. My parents owned a BMW purchased from Germany directly. We lived there. We've always called BMWs Beamers.

My parents raced sports cars and called them Bimmers.

This doesn't bother me, though I'd like to thwap people every time they call a Porsche a "porsh."
