Me: "Hell yes, there is. How about having your privates bitten off by a shark?"
It may not be frustrating then, but it will be frustrating for the rest of your life. A single day dive is just a day in the life.

Date: 2002-09-19 05:02 am (UTC)When you break a strap, you are forced to sit there helpless.. you *can* swim, but not effectively, all your gear and faculties are in working order so what you do is sit and sulk when everyone is having fun.
When you get your naughties bitten off, I think diving is the furthest thing from your mind. In this case there is alot of thrashing and wailing and screaming and pawing of the genitals, and if you are underwater, you are probably running the risk of hyperventilation (or by self chumming the water, more sharks)
If you die, what do you care, how do you regret a trip when you are dead.
Later, if/when they patch you up and you have physically healed, then you can alment the trip and wish your strap broke.
