Did anyone watch this week's "Now" with Bill Moyers? Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law professor, discusses her book, The Two Income Trap. She's discussing the strain on the middle class family. Every 15 seconds in America, right now, someone is declaring bankruptcy. There's also discussion of single parents living in a two income world.

Interesting stuff.

i'm still looking for that other half. i'm stuck in the one income trap with my school debts and foolish spending (ok trying to get better with that last one and i have). the state of things continues to decline. hoping i can make it and wondering if i can and how the next generation will even have a shot.

I think it's easier when you don't have children...a whole hill of unforeseen stuff pops up with kids. But yes, it's getting harder. For some reason, certain folks don't see it. It's amazing.
