I enjoy the Party Shuffle that iTunes offers me. It is a week and I have become a hearty ibook enthusiast. The quality of this laptop is fantastic. I only hope that when I get my ram installed, I don't blow it up. :-)

Yesterday work was...odd. It's mostly odd due to the cloud of anticipation that hangs over some of our heads, as visions of streets of London dance about in our brains. We must wait what shall seem like endless days(5-8) to get our interview and be considered. And then, the waiting shall be no more.

Whatever happens, I'm happy with the outcome. The trite yet often profound phrase, "It's the journey, not the destination," does not apply to waiting for jobs that feature the prospect of world travel. Gimme the goddammed destination.

In the meantime, the practical still gets in the way of my dreaming. Note to self: kitties need more moist cat food or they will love you less, and possibly eat your throat out while you sleep.

After work,

taogrl and I saw a Rivercats game. It's a pleasant evening. Sitting, chatting, watching people. I ran into a coworker there, and we chit chatted on various items. I saw a really unattractive fellow and got in a quick game of "Yours and Mine"* with

taogrl. I believe I remained unscathed last night.

I talked to my Mother. As many problems I have with her, it's nice to know she actually does swing back to the rational, occasionally. I think she understands that she does freak out and put a little too much onto me. Since she had issues with her mother, she's trying not to perpetuate the entire cycle. Some of it is just knee-jerk for her. She was recounting a scene she saw from a preview of "The Stepford Wives". Bette Midler plays a writer of self-help books. Her latest book was, "I love you Mother;Now Die." My mother found this particularly amusing.
