Today was a bit of a pisser

weaktwosIt was busy. Busy busy busy. We were trapped under a dark cloud of hardware failures and what-not. Plus, we were understaffed. And the staffing we didn't really count as "here".
My london-bound coworker was here, but he spent most of the day talking to people on the phone and at work about his London job. He had been at work for 1.5 hours before my shift started today. He's on the phone talking London stuff to people when I get there. There were 5 very stale tickets that we needed to work.
That's so not how I like my Mondays to commence.
I ask him to take a ticket (out of the four I'm working). He takes it and realizes later that he and I were the only ones in the office this morning.
Him:I didn't realize you were the only one here, Anne.
Me: I'm not! You're here, too! Now act like it!
Okay, okay. What I really said was, "Yup." I'm not going to begrudge the fellow his exciting, turbulent pending adventure to the U.K.
But I'm still going to be cranky, dadgummet.

taogrl called to inform me of a tasting event for Champagne tasting this Wednesday. Sa-weet.
I scheduled an appointment with a landscaper to give me a quote on some work I want done in my back yard. It shall be next Tuesday at 9am. Yay!
So, while I'm still cranky about today, there are many good things to look forward to...like the fact that my workday is now over! Now to the gym to bound about the treadmill like a gazelle on cocaine!
Okay, okay. In truth, I'll be bounding about the treadmill like an overweight woman who is on a reduced carb diet.
I hope everyone else's Monday went well!
