I went wardriving for the second time tonight. At long last, I was successful. They have recently installed a free wifi area along Capital from the State Capital down to the Rivercats Stadium. However, there's no place to park in that area, really, until you get to the river. And frankly, the business establishments are not that intriguing. Foo.

Tonight I took a friend and coworker to Bandera for dinner and drinks. More drinks than dinner. He is taking the redeye flight to Norfolk, so he needed a few pints of courageous slumber before he took to the skies.

I'm always happy to oblige. I got a few lemon drop cocktails in the process.

Now I am at the Naked Lounge, waiting for taogrl to come and join me in some coffee and convo. The men in here are reasonably good looking, currently, so I am unable to scope out unattractive men to set her up with. Fudge. Oh wait...here's a possibility...no. Nope. Not missing-linkish enough.

Well, I'll give this up for a bit in favor of people watching. More later. Or less. We shall see.

Update, 3. 5 minutes later: I just received instant karma for my attempted ugly dude reconnaissance for taogrl. I have managed to dignify and distinguish myself by spilling an ounce or two of coffee all over my table and leg when I hit said table with my left foot. Christie Brown's left foot could paint. Mine can soil tables and pants. Take that.

Ah, but it's the thrill of the hunt! There are classic moments involved in the discovery of the hideous.

The fact of the matter, of course, is that there's probably hundreds, thousands of people who would probably say the same thing of me. :-)
