Aug. 31st, 2004 11:20 pmToday was rather busy during the day. It went rather quickly, thankfully.
The past few days have been wonderful for music.
Richard Shindell's Vuelta grows on me. He has gone in a new direction. Much of his prior work has emphasized the guitar, for that is his instrument of choice. And O what a choice it is. I'm due for more listening of the album, but I've been too distracted of late to give it the attention it deserves.
I just received my jazz cds. I'm listening to Stanton Moore's "All Kooked Out". Good stuff. definitely something I could listen to while reading or writing. The other two I have yet to listen.
I am quite tired. Perhaps I shall sleep soon.
But after I digest.
Mom and I went out to dinner at Ernesto's, tonight. She really wanted to see me before I left for my Atlanta trip.
We had a fairly pleasant evening. It got off to a rocky start, though. She was a bit cranky after we got off work, and that gets annoying to me. After all, it's not very fun to be around someone who complains about every little thing.
