Nov. 1st, 2004 08:32 pmMy, I don't know what the heck came over me, but after reading Hunter S. Thompson's commentary on the election, I was positively giddy. By the time I went to the gym, I was pumped full of energy. It was great.
My mind was full of thoughts popping like fireworks even after I pounded the treadmill and tossed some iron around.
It's precisely those moments when I transcend this material world and my physical body is left behind to wreck my car in some unique yet low-speed way. Okay, I don't really leave this world, but it sounded good at the time.
So anyway, I calmed myself down and drove home. Now I'm going to busy myself with some homework for my web development class.
Tomorrow night is the night we West-coasties lament. The election usually gets called by the time some of us are just finished voting. *sigh*
Perhaps tomorrow night I'll just go to the gym and head directly the "the Bar" and watch the rest of the returns with my little mits wrapped around an Imperial Stout. Hmmm.
My hearts go out to those who have to work the election. May adrenaline see you through!
