I certainly understand the knee-jerk desire to flee the country if you're not a Bush supporter. However, if Patriots are willing to stand and fight for their country, and you choose to flee...perhaps all is as it should be?

Could that be the Democrat's demise? Do we not have enough people who are willing to get tough with our nation and lead it back into the state of grace we should be in, based on our country's core values?

I will be quite depressed if, when all is said and counted, Kerry loses the elecction. Yes, indeed. But the battle for truth is never an easy one. And I certainly cannot say I've done my part in the battle, much to my discredit.

It's not that there aren't enough of us...

It's that there are too damn many of them. And too many people who are intellectually lazy, and so allow their brains and hearts to be filled with religiously inspired bullshit, and thus vote Republican.

We're heading into being a Christian version of an Islamist state. What's left to do now is go somewhere off the American radar and hope that the nuclear fallout lands somewhere else, so that perhaps you get a few more days of life than people elsewhere.

It's scary how accurate that statement is. I shudder to think how the world will be in four years.

Yes, we are. We've walked right into it. When faced with the fear and uncertainty of terrorism, we choose the opiate of faith and ignorance. But people don't see that Bush' message is not a message of peace, but of violence, and that will not be good for the American people.

Right. But short of armed revolution in the streets, there's nothing more we can do for two years, probably four.

Pretty much. *head in hands*

This is why...

I've been saying all along that people really need to pay attention. But people don't. This country was set up by very insightful men. So insightful that they *knew* that even though the government they set up - government for the people, by the people - was a good idea, that it might run wild on them, or someone could "run off" with it. This is why the constitution's greatest protection *to the people* is the right to keep and bear arms. It's the ability to take back what was meant for them. Anytime you elect someone who would try to take that away, you do yourself a disservice. A lot of good men died to create this country, and even more to defend it in times of war. Anytime the people feel like it's gone far enough astray that they would give thier lives to set it right, they have that right, and that ability. It's protected by an incredible constitution set down by men that were, perhaps, wiser than they know.

I certainly hope it doesn't come to that, but with a sever imbalance in our government that is to come, it just might.
