You know...I got a letter that appeared to be from Livejournal telling me that my account was expiring. Because I'm a lazy lass, I did nothing about it. I go and check my account status independently today and see that my account is good until June 23, 2005.

Hmmm.

I will have to go back and check that email. I think some tomfoolery is going on.

Anyone else experience this?

No, it appears that my letter was legit. My account DOES indeed expire on January 13th. Interesting though. Did you email support yet?

I got one of those too, once upon a time (several months ago). I think I read that it was some kind of fraud, and the link takes you to a site that looks a lot like livejournal, but isn't.

Those letters are usually kiddos doing some phishing. You might want to forward it to abuse@livejournal.com, just in case.
