Jan. 16th, 2005 11:07 pmOn gaming:
I cancelled my Everquest II and City of Heroes memberships. My tendencies towards gaming are cyclical, and I've not been feeling like playing those games lately. I went online for a little bit this weekend and found that I had no desire to play them. And so, I cancelled the memberships. Maybe I'll come back to them later, but who knows?
On comics:
I caught up on Fables, Fallen Angel and started a new series by Warren Ellis: Ocean. I'm enjoying Ocean's plot. Kind of a cleaner version of Transmetropolitan, with a hero who is a little cleaner and lowkey, and a world where corporations provide a rather clean exterior, with a seedy underbelly.
On movies:
I finished watching Fellowship of the Ring(again). The Lord of the Rings series puts my new subwoofer to good use. I hope my neighbors don't hear it. I also put in Indiana Jones while I was doing other sundry tasks.
I also watched a movie which did nothing to exploit the wares of my sound system: The Magdalene Sisters. It is a rather good, yet depressing movie. It makes me rather upset that women, who didn't necessarily do anything wrong (some were raped and impregnated) would be sent to such a place for indentured servitude under angry and frustrated nuns.
