Of Apple lust and Hospitals

Well, I am freshly clipped and dyed...well, at least my hair is. I had my hair appointment today. I should get a photo of it. I need to become rich and famous so I can afford a staff to do my hair each morn.
After the hair appt, I went to visit B in the Hospital. He's steadily getting better, but still has some pain management issues.
I still get antsy at hospitals. God, it must suck to be stuck bed-ridden like that. So far, I've managed to avoid lengthy hospital visits like that since I was four. And back then, I didn't give a crap.
I still remember parts of my hospital stay as a wee lass. I was in for the ol' double hernia. Congenital maladies are fun! I remember getting xrays and fighting orderlies to the death due to my irrational fear of X-ray technology. I remember waking up to a semi-circle of doctors looking at me after the operation. I was in a hospital crib. I was not enthused. But I did feel kind of important. I remember getting a shot in the ass, and being very perturbed over that. I remember my mom coming up to me, rather freaked out because she went to look for me in my hospital room, and I had shuffled out to hang out with the nurses at the nurse's station. I was trying to scare up a game of cards, or something. I remember recovering at home, and my mother having yet another coronary because I felt well enough to jump up and down on the bed. Of course, the only thing keeping my intestines in place was a set of stitches. I remember having those stiches removed. They came out rather easily. I remember them tickling me, a bit.
Good times, good times. I'm glad I haven't returned for a visit to ye olde land of surgical procedures, howver.
Now I'm at work, about to get some work taken care of. I'll probably be here for about 4 hours. So if you want to entertain me with text messages to my phone, please do. :-)
Oh, and I forgot to discuss my apple lust. I want that new 60gb iPod photo. Yes. Unfortunately, it won't fit my current set of Altec Lansing portable speakers. This pisses me off. These speaker(-lets) cost me $150. Foo. But ooooh. Color iPod is purty. Purty. I'll hug it and squeeze it and call it George.
