Dundracon Report, Day 1

dslartoo, fed the kitties, jammed off to get lunch and then hit the road.The drive was splendid. The sky was lovely.
As I walked into the hotel, it began to rain. Initially, I was going to walk directly into the lobby, which was the farthest walking distance. Due to the rain, I chose to detour to the nearest entrance which would put me directly into the geektivities.
Serendipitously enough,patricks happened to be walking towards me in the entrance. This made things quite simple.
We hauled up my gear and went down to finish the booth setup. It's a nice little setup, well suited for demo games. After boothage, we trundled off to dinner. I had sushi, he had scampi.
After din din, we did some demo games of Monster Island. The demos went well, we demo'd the game to about 7 people, which lasted about two hours of playing. We used some famous monsters: Godzilla, Mothra, Gamera, Alien, Ultra Man. Oh, and King Kong and Warbot. I played the "first to die" character, regardless of the character I chose. I played Gamera and Alien over the course of the evening. Alien packs a punch, but frankly has a glass jaw.
Oh yes, and I'm buying this game tomorrow. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine. Shut yo' mouth!
