My effort at a Friday Five

Okay, I often hate these types of questions, for I don't like to limit myself to five of anything, really...at least the stuff that I like.

1. What are your five favorite all time TV shows?
Twin Peaks --it was awfully good and unique at the time
Remington Steele --wins for nostalgia sake
Sex and the City -- Brilliant
Kids in the Hall --hilarious
Monty Python's Flying Circus

2. What five things you want to do before the year is out?
Start my yard (gah! after all these years!)
Take some interesting road trips
Meet interesting people
Get involved in a steady romantic relationship (this one is always the hard one).
Learn more and more.

3. Who are five people (alive, dead, or otherwise) you would want to have dinner with?
You know, I love people, and I love having dinner, so I'm easy on this one.

Which part of the Azores? My ancestors come from Flores and Corvo.

I don't know which island my grandfather came from. He died before I was born and I can't recall if mom ever has mentioned it. All I know is that he and about 5 or 6 of his brothers came to America and while they all stayed in the New York area for a few years before coming to California, he came out here straightaway and worked as a cowboy for about 3 years. That was sometime before WWI. He was actually the most recent ancestor of mine to come to America. According to my sister (who is the geneaologist of the family) my Scottish ancestors got here about 1660 and the Irish all got here by about 1750. Of course, my Native American ancestors beat them all by about 25,000 years:)
