Ahhh, lunch time.

weaktwosIt's been a very busy day.
It started out by getting up to CSPAN. So. I woke up, got out of bed, bathed, traipsed into the kitchen, brewed my elixir of alertness, took care of a few tasks, dressed and hit the road for what I thought was plenty of time to get to work for a 9am meeting.
I was so wrong. It was rainy. The freeway was unabashedly gridlocked. At the present rate of crawl, I would be late to work. But I asked myself, "Anne? Do you feel lucky?" Yes. Yes, I did. I gambled a $271 fine that I wouldn't be caught in the carpool lane, and won. I made it to work only 2 minutes late, opposed to 15, for my meeting.
Since then, I've been hustling.
Now, I stop for a breather, and an acknowledgement that V for Vendetta and The Hard Goodbye are in the mail for me.
Still no new car. Feh.
