Last night was fun. Youngman G came over, as indicated by an earlier post, and we goofed around on our gaming systems, ordered dinner in, and watched "The Thing". I thought it was a rather entertaining movie. Though I was grossed out watching the doctor pull organs from a malformed thing-cadaver.

I over thought the plot on a few instances. For example, two characters go to visit a Norwegian camp to find out why they Norwedgies killed each other. They find a rectangular block of ice in their camp. They are able to figure out where they got that block of ice, and go visit that site. I'm fairly certain that it's been at least a day, possibly several since that block was carved out of Antarctic real estate. However, when they visit the site, a wasteland of snow and ice, there's still a perfectly carved rectangular hole in the ground. Given wind conditions, one would think it would be obscured fairly quickly.

Regardless, good entertainment.

Now to bring on the day. The turkey must be stuffed and cooked, the familial interaction must commence, and the "eating pants" must be procured.

Hands you her pants, too:

HA!! When we meet, we are SO going to a movie together. I drive everyone nuts analyzing content and minor details such as plot development and OBVIOUS errors on the part of the film editors.

But, hey--I figure if it jumps out at li'l ol' ME and I can see through it, what the fuck is wrong twith those overpaid nambies cokeheads whose job it is to make sure half-wits like me DON'T see such things.

Hey--next year, let's experiment with stuffing a cadaver and serving it, OK? I'll keep my eyes peeled on I-94 for a "volunteer".

I have a hard enough time doing the giblets and wrestling with a cadaver? Hell that might remind me of some bad dates I went out on.

I'll stick with dead fowl, thank you. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

That part where the guy's face opens up and stuff shoots out. That is a cinematic masterpiece.
