I hope everyone's Memorial Day went most pleasantly.

It's kind of hard to spend time contemplating all our solidiers who have died for our benefit, while also wanting to do all sorts of fun stuff. I think for memorial day, all of us should be sent to boot camp just to appreciate a sliver of the sacrifice of our soldiers.

Here's the roses I made for our last Cake I class.


Here's a photo of the Rogue Turtle that we find swimming in the pool during our practices. She looks quite proud and majestic when she does so, as well.


And finally, inspired by zorathenne, I decided to make some various vanilla extracts and see how they turned out:

So I'm making Amaretto, Scotch, Rum, Chambord and Vodka, and Orange and Vodka. We'll check 'em out in a few months.
