When last we joined our Ornery Orson, he was harping on the "lies" published in Newsweek. Except now we're getting confirmations by the Pentagon, according to this article, among others.

THE Pentagon has admitted that a soldier deliberately kicked the Koran at Guantanamo Bay prison for terror suspects, and that an interrogator stepped on the Muslim holy book and was later sacked for "a pattern of unacceptable behaviour".

In one of the other confirmed incidents, a guard's urine came through a vent and splashed a detainee and his Koran at the Cuban jail.

So, WWOS? (What would Orson say?). That the media continues to be unpatriotic? That it's dangerous to acknowledge our mistakes? I think the true anti-patriots are comprised of those who want to silence the truth, and not correct them and those who intentionally perpetrate such dishonorable acts.

Yeah. I guess the military is really perpetuating some hostilities. But no, let's blame it on the press.

I don't know why it is, but it seems that, often, the military feels it has no betters, and can do whatever it feels like doing. You'd think Abu Grebe would be a "lesson", but nope.
