I'm at Mom's house, enjoying her wireless network that I set up for her around Christmas time. We're about to go see a movie.

My co-op orientation went well. I'll try to sign up for some volunteer work. I'd like to work in the wine and cheese department, but we'll see if I'm so lucky.

I really dig the place, though, and their dedication to the use of sustainable materials: cork flooring, rubber (ex tire) flooring, denim jean insulation, baked paper countertops, bamboo cabinetry, in addition to tons of good food.

And I'm finally starting to enjoy more soy products.

As I was driving out to Mom's house, I looked upon the carpool lanes and said, "You will be mine. Oh yes. You will be mine." My application for the clean air vehicle sticker is in da mail.

We saw The Wedding Crashers this afternoon. Great fun--especially if you like Vince Vaughn.

And, the A/C helped with the 105 degree MA temp!

That's what we saw. It's my second time seeing it. It's good fun. :-)

Yeah--I wouldn't mind seeing it again, either!

I was thinking, though; who do you think they hired in that flick to be the straight guy? I'm thinking in this vehicle it had to be Wilson, but that is a departure from his previous roles, no?

Vaughn was hilarious, though. The more I see him, the more I appreciate his abilities. Even when he's on talk shows, he's a riot.

BTW, did you see that Walken is running for president?

I'm not sure if any one guy was the straight guy here. They were both wedding crashers, and therefore not really playing it straight. But between the two, Wilson definitely had it more straight.

I want to give praise to Isla Fisher, too. She played Gloria the supa-freak. She was hilarious.

I think the Walken thing is a hoax. No other news agency is covering except for Worldnet Daily. The website is registered by a Richard Stricklin from Florida.

Based on what we've seen of Walken so far, that seems out of character to me on his part, as well.

He IS quite the cut-up--and this might be just the thing of which he'd make light. I mean after all, that "mission" statement: "If you want to build a house, just build it--don't ask anyone how--just build it" had me going: "WHAT?!"

Yeah, Fisher was great. She really reminded me of someone else, though--Julie Haggerty, maybe? That whole holding her breath thing at the wedding, as well as Walken saying to her sister's character: "Well, you know Gloria--we had to give her her Sweet Sixteen party when she was 13..." had me howling.

I remarked at how many other people were in it, too. Jane Seymour, Henry Gibson (of Laugh-In fame), and the granny from In and Out as well as James Carville and John McCain, I was shocked to see Will Ferrell, and although I looked for it in the credits, I didn't see her--wasn't Rebecca DeMorney the orginal wronged wife in the opening scene?
