Afternoons at Dragon*Con

I'm glad that someone on the
dragon_con community enjoyed
reannon's party last night. It was good fun.
Some things we learned:
-Fog machines set of smoke detectors. Smoke by any other name...
-Beware of women with raspy voices and big sticks.
-Cosmetic contact lenses are fun.
Today I was a little sluggish getting up. I slept pretty (shocking!) soundly until around 8am this morning. I learned the downside of having dibs on the rollaway bed near the magnificent view of downtown Atlanta. Sun. O cheerfully cruel orb that exacts vengeance on a silly con-goer who kept telling the bartender to "surprise her" drink after drink after drink. After I slowly banished the fog that was hovering in my skull and over my eyes, I got up, bathed, and
ariedana and I headed off for breakfast. It was good. Coffee was greedily gulped.
I think
kellinator caught the plague. There's clearly schpilkus in her gennektagezoink. (that sentence was a foolish attempt at spelling yiddish)
I attended a session on Southern Horror, where
reannon made some astute contributions to discussing writing horror stories in southern locales. Also, I had no idea that Florida is not a popular location for horror from a readership perspective.
I also attended Hickman's and Weis' session on the Serenity RPG. It sounds like Whedon requested that they do the RPG. I'm tempted to buy it, even though I don't rpg much lately. Furthermore, Hickman is auctioning off slots for a monday morning playtest of Serenity. Proceeds go towards a Leukemia charity. I want to go to that auction, but I don't think I'll make it. I've got some other plans close to that time.
Alright, I suppose I'll get back to other forms of revelry...
I hope everyone is well!
