Morning, denizens of Livejournal
Sep. 29th, 2005 07:15 amI'm conscious a little earlier than normal, but I should be. I need to head into work a little earlier than normal.
I find my lack of morning exuberance intriguing. I wish I was a morning person without having to summon the effort to be as such. When I first wake up in the morning, I'm positively silly with sleep. I have to turn on the tv so that hearing something inane on the television causes my brain to start evaluating what I hear and therefore distract my brain from sinking back to sleep.
But do I want to hop out of bed into the shower and begin my day? No. I'm an idle rich person trapped in the body of one who has to support herself by working. Blast! Why couldn't Descartes and I have switched places? Surely I could have come up with something as trite yet pithy as, "Cogito, ergo sum"!
I need to learn more about basic electronics. We've had some problems at work with our electricity that powers our equipment. I'm having to work with our electricians, but whenever they say anything involving things needing closure, or to be more open, I can't help but think that our electric wiring needs relationship counseling.
I acquired some new CDs at Dimple yesterday:
-Arcade Fire's Funeral
-Primus' Pork Soda (used, new to me)
-Oasis' What's the Story Morning Glory (used, new to me)
Okay, enough languishing with my laptop in bed. I'm lucky my cats aren't being cute and cuddling right now. I have half a chance of getting out of bed in a timely manner.
To the shower, and beyond! Chaaaaarge!!!

They are hard enough to get used to.
