Friday, after the coffee kicks in.
Nov. 25th, 2005 10:10 amIt's a lovely day today. It is foggy and rainy. I simply adore this weather. I would love it even more if I were curled up in my "warmies" and holding a mug o' my favorite grog.
Alas, 'tis not meant to be. I must "toil" at work. This is, by far, the slowest day at work I've had in months. So, here's to catching up on old tasks, while others are out enduring "Black Friday" and engaging in flagrant consumerism.
My thoughts wander around the world to those who are not having a good day and I am ever so grateful that even my worst days are simply never that bad.
After briefly pondering the suffering 'round the world, my thoughts then dart back to pondering good prices on an HDTV PVR and whether there are any good deals out there. And then I feel ashamed. But never so ashamed that I give up my penchant for being a consume whore and seek out living a more meaningful life. *sigh*
