weaktwosI'm watching the Today show. There's research going on where participants, using a computer, are shown pictures of various people in various settings. Some of the people have guns, some have just cell phones, or sodas. The participants must make a quick decision whether or not the person is holding a gun, or not. You must shoot the person(s) holding the gun, and not shoot those who are "harmless". Studies show that among white participants, they tend to shoot a lot of innocent black men holding sodas. The same bias occurred for black participants (poppin' a cap in the ass of the innocent white guys).
Interesting. This study is being done in a few locations, but particularly in Colorado.
Moral of the story: don't drink sodas, particularly Coke.
