We're getting a fine spot o' rain in these parts. It's been a steady rain since about 4pm yesterday. It sounds like several hoses are running in my backyard.

I took a peek out my windows and I do not yet appear to be floating away.

I love the sound of a good storm, though. Let's just hope it doesn't wash any of our local residents out of their homes.

Now, 5am is, in my view, "before God gets up". SO I'm going to try and go back to sleep.

there's a nice storm and them there's too much rain -- sounds like you're getting the latter out in your neck of the woods -- maybe you should go drive some veradeep stakes in the ground and tie your house down just in case...

Hee ;) I bet gas is below $2.00 a gallon down on the Gulf Coast right now. Here in north Dallas it's more like $2.19.

I didn't sleep very well myself due to the rain & heavy wind in spurts all night...I got back from my final walkthrough of my old place, turned on the TV and saw the local SF/Bay Area FOX news statsion reporting helicopter footage of flooding in Roseville because the winds were too high to get their own choppers up locally! I thought the "gotta show something" concept a bit ironic...So far no leaks at my new house, so that's all good to know... :)
