Sadness seeps into my soul while I watch a cooking show that features sumptuous recipes, only to see commercials for Ragu and quickie food gadgets that boil your food to death.

This is a culinary affront!

LOL... the funniest thing I ever saw about commercials, is I watched a movie called "Motel Hell" once.. about a farmer (Rory Calhoun) who captured people, cut their vocal cords so they couldn't scream, buried them up to their neck in the ground, fed them a special diet for awhile. then killed them and made them into sausages.. and he was famous for his sausages , though no one knew his special ingredient. REAL CAMPY movie.

Slim Jim beef jerky and sausages bought EVERY commercial that night for that movie.

Heh those commercials are for people like me! I don't think I've ever cooked anything off a cooking show. I watch them just for soothing entertainment in the same way I watch olypic figure skating.
