I am safely in San Antonio. I met up with my coworkers from the other regions and we dined at Paesaon's in the Riverwalk. Only part of the Riverwalk stunk as you walked by. I wonder how many folks have slipped and fallen into the stew that is the Riverwalk River?

I finished reading George RR Martin's "A Game of Thrones". I find the tale to be captivating. Politics, Knights, Princes and Princesses, Dragons, Magic, Scary zombies. It's all good.

Time for bed and book two.

Whateveh you do, dear Anne, do NOT open your mouth while imitating the birdies. That's how my youngest got a mouthful of birdie poo.

We did, however, have a great meal at this smarmy "Continental cousine" Italian place with linen cloths and such that offers terrace dining right off the river. Mmmm.

Enjoy! And visit the haunted railroad crossing to experiment with the car going uphill shut off! If you want to know more, let me know ASAP.

Martin's books are pretty darn good. I like the fourth book, but it leaves a bit more hanging than the others. He wrote one big ass book and then broke it into the fourth and fifth so hopefully I won't have to wait three years for the next one.
