A moment of silent tragedy

It is simply beautiful here in Elk Grove. The temperature was just perfect for a lovely morning walk. I returned home to prepare the kitchen for some culinary pursuits. This would include a pot of coffee.

But I think my coffee maker just broke.

Perhaps some Elk Grovites heard my anguished cry this morning.

Must be a plague. My parents' fairly new and plenty expensive coffee maker went kaput yesterday. It had warranty papers, but they've been so busy basically being parents again that there's little chance they'd sent them in.

Well, it's had a good run. I've had it for over 3 years, I believe. basically, for the cost of attending 10 movies in the theatre. So, not bad.
