I'm really glad they opted not to go with the alternate ending. The idea of Meg's Christian parents killing her and Veronica getting accused of it is not cool.

But it makes me wonder...did Meg's parents actually kill her? They said it was a blood clot, but could that have been arranged? Or do you think the writers decided to dodge that bullet entirely.

I wouldn't put it past them. Especially given this alternate ending.

Man, I hope they die, or get audited, or both.

I was really disappointed that we never saw any further development of the storyline with her parents. (Killing Meg also annoyed me, but to do so in such a way, then drop the plot, was doubly bad.)
