Hot for Teacher

Today's news revealed that a Roseville, CA area teacher is accused of having sex with a 16 year old former student. My coworkers and I were discussing the issue.

Guv, a doting father of a beautiful six year old girl, said, "I know it's wrong, but for a sixteen year old lad, it's a dream come true. And you know his friends think he's a hero." He went on to add that if a male teacher did that to his daughter, he'd have to shoot him.

What do you think? Is it possible that a sixteen year old female to also fantasize about being intimate with an experienced yet cool teacher? Granted, I know that the female has increased risks. Should she become pregnant, the burden will mostly fall on her. But still I don't like the fact that a 16 year old boy is assumed to view a situation as a boon, while for female of the same age, it would not be viewed similarly (assuming it was consentual).

On a related note, I think that if this rate of teachers sexing up their students continues, I plan on opening a teacher supply store that sells condoms and other sassy toys for the teacher who wants to teach her students everything she or he knows in addition to class/teaching supplies.

I have taken heat for years for saying that the double standard is unfair. Most guys at that age would be delighted by a come-on from a pretty teacher. I have to think the reverse could also be true and I think it's unfair that the male teacher is ALWAYS seen as the wicked wolf taking advantage of poor Little Red Riding Hood.

And for proof that it CAN be more than just a passing interest, look at the former Mary Kay Letourneau, who married her student. After a couple of jail terms.

Indeed. Teenagers past puberty and cute teachers is a toxic combo! We can only resolve this issue by having robots teach teens! ;-)

When I was in high school (1968-1972), there was exactly one teacher I would have willingly had sex with. The rest were old middle aged women who might not look bad to me now, but at age 16 were just not at all sexy.

On the other hand, some of my friends mothers were total hotties:)
